Tofu Stir-Fry with Miso Glaze: A Nutritious Japanese Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 block of tofu
  • 2 tablespoons of miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 cup of broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Start by pressing the tofu to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into cubes and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  4. Add the bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli to the pan. Cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Pour the miso glaze over the tofu and vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the tofu stir-fry with miso glaze hot over a bed of rice or noodles.
