Homemade Wok-Fried Noodles: A Stir-Fry Favorite

Wok-fried noodles are a classic dish that is loved by many for its delicious flavors and versatility. Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. of your favorite noodles (such as egg noodles or rice noodles)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of your choice of protein (such as chicken, beef, tofu, or shrimp)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Set aside.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  4. Add the garlic, onion, and bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are slightly softened.
  5. Push the vegetables to the side of the pan and add the protein to the center. Cook until browned and cooked through.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the pan, followed by the sauce mixture. Toss everything together until well combined.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
