Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cups chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 package dumpling wrappers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chives, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Take a dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and crimp the edges to seal the dumpling.
  3. Repeat this process with the remaining dumpling wrappers and pork mixture.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil. Place the dumplings in the skillet, making sure they are not touching each other. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  5. Once the bottoms are browned, carefully add water to the skillet until it reaches halfway up the dumplings. Cover and let the dumplings steam for 8-10 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.
  6. Remove the lid and let the dumplings cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the bottoms are crispy.
  7. Serve the dumplings hot with soy sauce for dipping.
