Authentic Prawn Stir-Fry: Quick and Tasty

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 inch of ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large wok or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Push the prawns to one side of the pan and add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the prawns and vegetables in the pan.
  6. Toss everything together until well coated in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions, if desired.
  8. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
