Vibrant Seafood Stir-Fry: Celebrating Japanese Cuisine

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb mixed seafood (such as shrimp, scallops, and squid)
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, yellow, and green)

  • 1 cup sliced snow peas
  • 1 cup chopped scallions
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add a splash of oil and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the mixed seafood to the skillet and cook until partially cooked, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced bell peppers, carrots, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the seafood and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  6. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped scallions.
